Black Aces Hockey Club Book Club

If you only read one book this year, first of all you should read more, but if you only read one book then the one book you should read is The Rise and Fall of the Black Aces Hockey Club, Volume 1: True Tales of Rec Hockey Greatness. 

That’s right, in a stunning turn of events, local hockey team the Black Aces have had their mildly interesting exploits immortalised in book form. Your favourite posts from this very blog have been collected and assembled into an actual book. 

Publishers and literary agents somehow failed to recognise the universal appeal of a book about a beer league hockey team playing in a small rink in Toronto Canada, so your blog host and Black Aces historian decided to publish the book himself. You’re welcome. 

 Sure you could read all about the team right here on this very blog, but then you would miss out on the clever additional content that accompanies each chapter in the book, not to mention the many footnotes explaining the more obscure references to Aces players and events over the years.
